‘I love my job and find it very challenging and rewarding in equal measure. I enjoy most sports especially GAA, Rugby, Boxing and MMA. Given my kidney troubles I missed out on alot of sports growing up but when i was transplanted in 1998 I done my best to get back to participating in sport as much as possible and practised martial arts for few years and also lined out for my home GAA club Listowel Emmets. Unfortunately im now on dialysis since 2014 so energy levels dont allow commitment to alot of exercise…however Im determined to give my all in Finland and compete as strongly as I can’

‘Its a huge honour and Im very excited to travel with the team. I love sport and this event is a fantastic oppurtunity to raise awareness of tranaplantation and donation worldwide. I will be very proud to line up for my events representing my country’.
