Harry Ward received a transplant in 2007. He resides in Baldoyle, Dublin with his loving wife Mary.
Harry will be competing at this year’s World Transplant Games in the 60-69 years category in the following events:
- Darts Triples
- Petanque Singles
- Petanque Doubles (partnering with Paul Prendergast)
- Ten Pin Bowling Doubles (partnering with Lenny Ryan)
Harry participated in the Games for the first time in 2006 in Hungary as a dialysis patient and is looking forward to meeting up with the many friends he has made over the years.
As Team Captain, Harry is continually motivating his fellow teammates and keeping spirits high.
“Being part of the team is a great way to say fit and to travel all over the world to promote Organ donation and to show that it works.
‘On Transplant Team Ireland we are like a big happy family and anyone who is Transplanted or on Dialysis would be more than welcome to join us.”
Good luck Harry!
