Hugh received a kidney transplant in 2015 and will be competing in his first World Transplant Games in Perth. He has always wanted to see Australia and the Games have given him the extra motivation to get there.

What do you hope to get from your World Games experience this year?

Looking forward to a team setup.

Is there anything you are looking forward to about this year’s venue (Perth) in particular?

I’m hoping to see as much of Perth as possible. Planning to go to Rottnest Island to see the Quokkas (mascot for the World Games).
