”Although retired, I manage to keep busy and I try to encourage all transplant recipients to keep active in my role as Fit for Life ambassador on behalf of The World Transplant Games Federation. Without the generosity of my deceased donor and their family, my participation in these games would be an impossibility and I participate in honour of them and to show that ‘The Gift of Life’ is worth giving.’ ‘It is such a joy to be with a group of people who share the common experience of sickness and health and to be a support to each other irrespective of results.’
