There is no doubting that Covid-19 has changed our daily routines. We would like to introduce you to something that will hopefully help brighten up your day and the day of your family and friends! The World Transplant Games Federation’s Billion Steps Challenge, an opportunity for everyone (including family, friends and even nurses, doctors and hospital staff!) to get involved in a global programme that is aimed at encouraging people to be active and also to talk about organ donation.
The Challenge is taking place across the world and the collective goal is to reach a total of one billion steps over the next 10 weeks.

The beauty of the Challenge is that everyone can personalise it and determine their own goals whilst being part of a global family. Whether you manage 500 steps in a day or 10000 steps, it is all about challenging yourself and being part of a collective. There is also the opportunity to establish a team of up to 5 members, whether is it with family members or friends locally or on the other side of the world!
You can read all about the Challenge here:
There is even an opportunity to convert other activities to steps. For example, I do not walk / run too much anymore because I have a bad knee but I do like swimming so the swim I did in the pool yesterday morning can be converted into steps. https://movespring.com/resources/activity-converter
