Sport has been a lifelong passion for John who has been active in GAA circles in Limerick and in transplant sports circles for many years. Receiving his kidney transplant in 2000, John is a veteran of many European and World events. John brings significant personal experience and will be carrying his moniker; “The Bullet” with pride when he takes to the track.

John has great support from his family with his wife Trish and his daughter Tara amongst his biggest cheerleaders. He is looking forward to catching up with his son when in Australia.

John is passionate about spreading the word about transplant and dialysis sports and the benefits of participation at an individual level and in relation to the broader message it gives about the importance and success of organ donation for transplantation.
