Teresa is recently widowed, a mother of 5, and grandmother of 5 (soon to be 6) grandchildren. Having received a kidney transplant in 2001, this will be Teresa’s first time to represent Ireland at the World Transplant Games.

She is looking forward to meeting new people, enjoying the competition and experiencing the travel.

Is there anything you are looking forward to about this year’s venue (Perth) in particular?

“To meet my new grandchild and seeing all the different sports venues in Perth.”

Is there anything else that you would like to add?

“I am doing this in honour of my donor and their family who have given me a wonderful 22 years of good health.”
